Here are some important facts that you
will find useful when you begin to consider Woodhaven Senior Community
as your home:
Woodhaven Senior Community is a family
owned business. Located in the heart of Flint Township and Genesee
County we just celebrated 27 years of exciting operation. I think what
makes Woodhaven unique is that you have a very experienced ownership
that is focused on giving people affordable housing with a dedication on
independence and quality living. Our residents do not have any of the
worries that they may have had with home ownership. One of our motto’s
at Woodhaven is that we are a “can do community”. We will do whatever it
takes to make our residents feel satisfied with their home and living
arrangements on a daily basis.
~ David A. Dixner
What type of community is
Woodhaven Senior Community?
Woodhaven Senior Community
is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), which
allows our residents to age in place with different
levels of senior housing on our 40 acre campus. We are
an independent senior living community with home
healthcare services available to our residents. We
currently have 123 apartments and 62 club homes with 30
additional new construction club homes to be completed soon.
Our entire senior housing campus is a one-story
architectural design for the safety of our residents.

live at Woodhaven Senior Community?
Yes. You are eligible to become a
resident if you are age 55 or above.
Is it true that people live
longer and healthier lives in communities like Woodhaven
Senior Community?
Yes! Research has documented that
maintaining an active social life, and quick access to
health care can increase longevity even if you cannot
exercise. At Woodhaven Senior Community, we are creating
an environment where everyone has the opportunity to
remain as productive and independent as possible
regardless of physical declines or health setbacks.

Senior Community?
No. Your home is owned by Woodhaven and

However, Woodhaven recommends residents obtain their own
personal property insurance policy, most commonly known
as renters insurance or content insurance.

Yes. There is a refundable deposit
associated with placing your name on the wait list. Wait
list deposits are refundable for any reason. Placement
on the wait list allows you to be contacted in the order
you appear on the list when a unit becomes available. If
you decide to wait until another unit becomes available,
you will not lose your place on the wait list, we simply
move to the next person on the list.
